You can set estimates above tasks if you want to allocate time capacity to individual users. This function can be used, for example, when planning tasks for the team on a weekly, monthly or quarterly basis.
How to set estimates
You can set a time estimate for each user invited to the task. You can use it to have a better overview of Time tracking over tasks and cost reports.
When entering a task estimate, you enter a total estimate that you think colleagues will spend time on the task as a whole. The estimated time may change during the completion of the task.
Assigning an estimate to individual users
After entering the overall estimate, you can add estimates for individual users working on the task.
Overdrawn time estimate
It may happen that the time spent will be higher than the total time estimates for the user. This time will be marked red.
There may also be a situation where the user changes his own time estimate, this value will then be displayed as “not assigned”. You can approve this estimate with a green whistle, then the time will automatically be added to the overall estimate for the task.
How to view estimate in Kanban Board
If you prefer to use the Kanban Board on the Project, you can view the task estimates simply in the modal window after clicking the Task parameters button.
View estimates and reports
On Dashboard
You can easily view the overall overview of the set and measured reports on the Dashboard in a table view.
On Project detail
If you want to view estimates only for a given project, you can view them in a tabular view on the Project Detail.
Filtering estimates on the Dashboard
You can filter individual estimates and reports on the Dashboard.
When filtering them, there are several criteria that can be applied:
- He has an estimate
- He doesn’t have an estimate
- Statements are lower that estimate
- Statements exceed estimate
- Statements close to estimate (10% remaining)
- Statements close to estimate (30% remaining)
- Statements exceed estimates by up to 5%
- Statements exceed estimates by up to 10%
- Statements exceed estimates by more that 10%
